The site encourages you to use your web cam and take a picture of yourself in the same positioning every day, then it allows you to view your collection of photos as a mini movie known as a “mugshow” or in a mosiac view.

Here is mine, you can use the controls at the top to speed it up, slow it down and change directions.

Now the question is: where can I find a handy pre-built flash picture collector?

(Perhaps I should google or bing it and find out, worse case scenario I load up Adobe’s Flash and see what I can learn.)

Last night they finally officially announced their intent, and also tagged some vague timelines to it.

It’s definitely another reason to ensure your up to speed on HTML 5 and the latest web development technologies. This will effectively start adding hardware and local device support to web applications. We’ve had this thru Flash and some other technologies, but with google pushing a new OS and partnering with hardware manufacture’s to deliver it on netbooks and other hardware, I believe we’ll see a push for cross platform apps to be web-based.
